Good Samaritans

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cl-Fd_Saint-Eutrope-vitrail1.jpgThis evening, I had decided not to do any work and decided to go visit the new Scott Garden on Old Klang Road. I drove there, parked my car, and went in. After roaming around for just under an hour, I decided to go home.

As I was walking to my car, I noticed that the lights were on. Damn! I quickly got in and lo-and-behold, the engine refused to start. Darn and double darn.

So, after a few minutes, I spotted two decent looking young men and approached them to help me push-start my car. They were nice enough to help. Unfortunately, that did not do the job.

So, they suggested that I go into TESCO to buy a pair of jump-start cables. I got a pair and we tried to jump-start the car with their car. Unfortunately, that didn’t work either.

So, they called up their friend who is a mechanic. He was on his way home with his family and dropped by to help. He unplugged the batteries from the other car, stuck them on my terminals and my car started.

Wow, I had troubled two young men and a family of five!

There are still a lot of good people in this country.

PS: Hyundai’s 24/7 hotline sucks. I was kept on hold at the head of the queue for several minutes. Nobody bothered to pick up.
