Changi Airport

Believe it or not, this is the first time that I have stepped into Changi and it has been a rather dull experience so far. I have never seen an international airport so quiet. There were hardly any people about. I wonder if this had to do with the time of day but since it is almost noon, I doubt it.

I got to look around Changi a bit and also managed to check out some PS3 titles at the airport. The prices here in Singapore are generally cheaper than the prices in Malaysia. They are also about the same prices as the list prices in the UK. I think that I may pick up a couple of titles on my way back, if I fail to find them elsewhere.

I can say that I am not looking forward to my connecting flight but at least, it is on the Airbus A380. The A380 is one ugly bird, if I am allowed to say that. Hopefully, the seats are comfier and I would be able to catch some forty winks in-flight. I’m also hoping that they would have some interesting in-flight entertainment for me to catch over lunch.

  1. I prefer quiet airports to congested ones. Maybe it’s because air travel’s been affected by the downturn, but generally I think that Changi airport’s quietness is a deliberate and good thing.

I agree that the 747 looks better than the A380… 747’s sleek and have the curves at the right places. the A380 looks like a baby with a deformed head…

Where are you flying to, and are you taking the SQ A380??? Hope you enjoy your holiday, wherever you’re going! 😛
